Encourage One Another
“In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]”
(John 16:33)
“Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
(Joshua 1:9 )
What wonderful truth! We have a guarantee from Jesus that we can overcome in this world. Because of this, we do not fear — we have courage!
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing…”
(1 Thessalonians 5:11)
1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us to encourage one another. I like to think of “in-couraging” as in putting — or depositing — courage into someone. There’s a lot of fear in the world these days, but in Jesus, we have a message of hope and power that brings strength and courage to anyone who believes Jesus is Lord!
We all come from a spiritual lineage of pioneers, world changers and spiritual revolutionaries who proved that faith in God overcomes the world, and we put our faith in the same supernatural ability of God. Noah built a boat in the middle of dry ground. Abraham received the promise of God when he was as good as dead and became a father of multitudes more numerous than the stars in the sky. He built an altar on that promise, and his faith in God still speaks today. Moses built a nation out of men and women who had been slaves over 400 years, but in one day, they were freed by the power of God and on their way to a new life in a new land!
Remember the rest of the words from First Thessalonians 5:11 — the little phrase “one another.” “Encourage one another.” In other words, encouragement is not a one-way street! You encourage us more than we can say. Thank you from the bottom of our heart for all you have done — we love you!
The work we do at Shekinah Glory Ministries is all about building up the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ so there is a light that continues to shine through the darkness and fear of this world. It is our place to announce there is freedom from sin, peace in every storm, and courage that is greater than any fear!
Thank you again for your love, your prayers, and your partnership.
We love you very much – Jesus is coming soon!
